Proportion of graduates with teaching qualification 

 Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage (VRU) has produced graduates who become teachers since 1946. One of its strategic plans is to produce premium teachers and develop their potential be exposing them to productive learning, building a network of cooperation according to the model of civil state for local development. by adhering to the philosophy of sufficiency economy. As of 2020, there were 11 programs in total, and 308 graduates from the Faculty of Education, 267 of whom were eligible for teaching at the primary level.

Lifelong learning

Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage (VRU) offers a variety of quality IT resources, which include books, printed materials, journals, databases, electronic media. In terms of physical readiness, VRU also provides various learning spaces and platforms for students, personnel, and interested people who can gain access to online databases remotely from anywhere. IT resources available at VRU are detailed below:

Moreover, VRU also offers online learning for those who wish to reskill or upskill themselves, such as a training course for taking care of the elderly (130 hours), an online cooking class on how to make tempeh, and an online class for bakeries.

Executive education programmes and/or vocational training

VRU realizes the importance of life-long learning and offers courses for people of all ages with a primary purpose of making their quality of life better, equipping them with job skills, and enhancing their potential to create values for themselves and the society. As of academic year 2020, courses can be divided as follows.

1. Short courses

VRU aims at enhancing students’ skills that respond to the specific needs of some jobs so that they can make their quality of life better, get a better job, increase their potential, and add values to themselves and the society. Thus, VRU offers short courses that encourage life-long learning for those who want to reskill or upskill themselves, which make them well-rounded, skillful, and efficient. Courses that VRU have offered include making processed products, drawing for gardening design, foot massaging, and taking care of the elderly.

2. Training courses/academic services

VRU serves as a community patron, a place for academic citation, and an institution that helps develop the community academically, which result in more skillful community members and strong community. To this end, VRU has offered academic services to organizations such as Border Patrol Police School and organized courses/workshops such as developing entrepreneurs’ skills of making online marketing plans and product standards, learning Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for newcomers, designing learning management plans and active learning, developing teacher tool kits, and coaching for igniting inspiration.

Educational outreach activities

VRU) prioritizes teacher development and excellent teaching as these are the two strengths of the university whose foundation is from a teacher’s college. VRU also has a demonstration school, which is a model for many other schools. As VRU realizes that education contributes to stability, it organizes projects that involve increasing educational quality as well as producing and developing teachers to create networks and solve educational problems. The

projects are detailed below.

Activities is accessible to all

VRU is a university for people of all ages and possesses innovation that promotes economic and social foundations through cooperation of social partners, which result in sustainable and balanced development. VRU also financially support everyone who wishes to study, regardless of the differences in their race, religion, gender, and financial background. VRU has announced that prospective students can apply regardless of their race, religion, gender, and financial background. Furthermore, VRU has a policy that financially supports disabled students, which was started in 2019 and is in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s requirements, policies, criteria and methods for providing scholarships for students with disabilities. The latest announcement regarding students with disabilities was made by the Ministry of Education in 2021. 

Proportion of firstgeneration students

Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage (VRU) has six faculties and one college: Faculty of Education, Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and College of Innovative Management. All of them adopt the education management model called ‘ABCD’, which stands for A: Active Learning, B: Blended Learning, C: Collaborative Learning, and D: Design Thinking for Learning Outcome. The total number of students in academic years 2020 and 2021 is detailed below.
